The Tamtron Systems Oy Trapper system saves your money

When selecting Scalex weighing equipment, it is important to clarify which weighing method is best suited for the specific application: traditional static weighing or much quicker and easier dynamic weighing. Hundreds of customers have already chosen the Tamtron Systems Oy railway weighing system.

Tamtron Systems Oy strengths are very good accuracy and reliability. We can handle all kinds of wagons and send this very accurate weighing information to the customer’s computer network.

In railway weighing systems it is also very important that constructions are safe and durable. Tamtron Systems Oy has very long experience of these constructions and has continuously developed new solutions.

All Tamtron Systems Oy railway weighing systems have been tested in the very hard climate conditions and we can guarantee optimal functioning to all kinds of environments. Of course the rails must be in the good condition before we can guarantee the best results.

Dynamic weighing

Weighing in motion is the right solution when a large number of wagons are involved. The train is driven at a constant speed over the scale, and the system weighs each wagon automatically. The standard of accuracy conforms to strict international OIML regulations.

Static weighing

Static weighing is a very good solution for instance at the loading stations or when the number of wagons to be weighed is small. Track conditions may also require static weighing.

Weighing of wagons with liquid loads

The wagons with liquid loads could be difficult to some dynamic weighing system but not to the Scalex Trapper system. The Scalex Trapper system can weight liquid loads in motion with great accuracy, as both bogies of the wagons are on the weighbridge at the same time.

Calculation of net weight

Wagons are weighed both when empty and when loaded. The Scalex trapper system calculates the net weights of the load in each individual wagon as well as for the whole train.

Rapid and inexpensive installation

Tamtron Systems Oy railway weighing systems can be installed in a very short time. The weighbridges are mounted directly on a gravel bed. This method of installation lowers the installation costs considerably.

The weighbridge is resistant to changes in weather conditions and can be easily moved to a new location if necessary.

Tamtron Systems Oy has also a model, which is installed to the concrete foundation.

Automation reduces costs

The scalex Trapper multibridge weighing system weighs all wagon types automatically. The system automatically selects the weighbridges used for weighing the wagon according to the length and the number of bogies of each wagon. Wagon data entry in advance is not necessary.
The system is self-monitoring and if necessary, gives the operator an error message.

Waggon identification by radio signals (RFID)
- SCALEX WID

The Scalex WID waggon identification system is based on data collectors attached to the waggons and on read/write heads installed on the track or beside the track. Data can be read and written on the move.

Options of the Trapper+ system:

- side load detection
An important feature that improves safety, this can also be retrofitted.
- wagon identification for radioactivity control systems
- user interface of the control-and weighing system integrated into the customer´s own information system
- wireless data transfer between weighing electronics and Pc
- remote use, service and software upgrading
- service and maintenance contract
